How much does a website cost in 2026? Real prices and what they depend on
The most common question we get is simple: “How much will a website cost me?” And the most honest answer is: it depends on what the website is supposed to do. A website as an online business card and a website that is supposed to actually bring you customers are two different projects with different prices.
To help you make sense of it, here are the real price ranges on the Slovak market in 2026 - without the marketing talk.
Approximate price ranges
| Project type | Approximate price | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Simple presentation website (5-7 pages) | from 900 € | a sole trader, a small business that needs a credible presentation |
| Custom corporate website | 2 000 - 5 000 € | a business that wants its website as part of sales and brand building |
| Custom e-shop | from 2 500 € | selling online, integration with payments, shipping and inventory |
| Web application / internal tool | from 5 000 € | when an ordinary website isn't enough and you need custom logic |
The prices are approximate. We price every project individually - not to hide the price, but because the scope genuinely differs from project to project.

What exactly you get for each price
Simple presentation website (from 900 €)
Ideal for a sole trader, a small business or a freelancer. Count on 5-7 pages (home, about us, offer/services, contact, blog). The design is clean, modern and without unnecessary gimmicks. In short: it speaks about you, builds trust and is easy to manage. Basic SEO is included - the site can be found on Google. Typical timeframe: 2-3 weeks.
Custom corporate website (2 000 - 5 000 €)
For a business that wants to look serious and whose website is part of its sales strategy. Count on 5-10 pages, a custom design (not a template), specific features - for example CRM integration, custom forms, a project gallery. SEO goes deeper - keyword optimization, a suitable structure for Google. Hosting and domain are usually included for the first year. Typical timeframe: 4-8 weeks. The price varies depending on the number of pages, design tools and integration requirements.
Custom e-shop (from 2 500 €)
An e-shop is not just a website - it handles payments (by card, bank transfer), shipping, inventory, order management. The basis is the number of products and complexity - a small e-shop (50-100 products) is cheaper than hundreds of items with filters and a configurator. Included: security (SSL), integration with a payment processor, optimization for mobile shopping. Including basic training on how to manage the website. Typical timeframe: 6-12 weeks.
Web application / internal tool (from 5 000 €)
When an ordinary website isn't enough - for example a booking system, a client portal, a data management tool. These are custom-built projects and the price is set according to the complexity of the logic. Count on a longer development time (8-16 weeks) and detailed discussions about exactly how the tool should work.
What the price depends on
1. Scope and number of pages. Five pages and fifty pages is a difference in text, structure and in working with content.
2. Custom design vs template. We build websites custom, without click-together templates - the result looks like your brand, not like a thousand other websites. That's more work, but also a different result.
3. Features. A booking system, multilingual support, CRM integration, a calculator, product filtering - every feature is an extra piece of work.
4. Content. Do you have texts and photos ready, or do they need to be prepared? Preparing content is often an underestimated item.
5. Performance and SEO from the ground up. A fast website ready for Google is not an accident - it's work that is simply skipped with cheap solutions. SEO optimization must be factored in already during the build, not added later as an add-on.
Website vs a Wix/Webnode template - why cheap DIY often isn't enough
On the internet you'll also find much cheaper solutions: Wix, Webnode, or templates for 50-200 €. What's the difference?
Cheap DIY templates (Wix, Webnode, click-together sites for a few euros): You launch it quickly, ready-made templates exist. The problem comes later. The result looks generic - it has been launched on thousands of other websites. SEO is weak - these providers are not built for search engines. If you want to change the design, you're tied to their options. Exporting data is complicated - if you change your mind, your content stays in their system. Return on investment: low, often zero.
A custom website from an agency: First we listen to what you need. The design is unique - no one else has it. SEO is built in - the website is built so that Google sees what you do. When you want to grow, the website expands with you. You own all the content and code - when you want to move, you take your data with you. Return: long-term, if the website really works.
The truth: A website for 900 € is more expensive than Webnode for 50 €. But a website for 50 € will cost more in five years - rewrites, redoing it, lost customers. A custom website, on the other hand, pays for itself.
How much does a website cost for a sole trader vs a business
A sole trader (own assessments, services, consulting): You need a website that says “I'm serious and experienced.” Usually a presentation website (5-7 pages) for a price from 900 € is enough. Important: a description of services, references, a simple contact form. Sometimes a sole trader thinks they need an e-shop - but usually they don't. A presentation site + a face-to-face agreement = better than a website with an e-shop that no one uses.
A small business (shop, office, services): The website has to sell. That means more pages, a clearer breakdown of services, photos from work, customer cases. Count on a price of 2 000 - 5 000 €. Including: a better design, more SEO work, specific features (a contact form on every page, a map, a booking system). If you sell physically, integrate the website into your marketing - put links to social media there, news about discounts.
How our price is built: We don't buy a template and we don't buy one for you. Everything is done custom. A designer creates the Figma, a frontend developer implements it, the backend connects the databases, QA tests it, we train you. That work - the work of people - is reflected in the price. If you want a cheaper solution, it exists - but then it's a template, not a custom project.
Why the “cheapest website” is often the most expensive
A website for 200 € exists. The problem comes in half a year: it can't be expanded, it's slow, no one can manage it and no one finds it on Google. You end up paying a second time - for a new website. A cheap website has a cost you don't see upfront.

What's included in the price (and what isn't)
With a serious offer you should be able to see what the price includes: design, programming, deployment, basic SEO and training. Outside the one-time price two things usually run:
- Domain and hosting - on the order of tens of euros per year.
- Management and maintenance - updates, backups, security. Either you manage the website yourself, or you use monthly care.
And how much does an e-shop cost?
An e-shop is always more expensive than a presentation website, because it handles payments, shipping, inventory and often integration with accounting. It realistically starts from 2 500 € and grows with the scope. More in the section e-shop development.
